Even if you haven't missed any of your mortgage payments, it's quite possible that you are still eligible for the mortgage loan modification program.  We also may be surprised to know, is that even if you apply before and it turned out for the modification program you're still eligible to reply and possibly even become approved.  While it's unfortunate, but the approval process is complicated and sometimes denies wrong people is essential to ensure that the system isn't abuse.  The good news for many homeowners, dissemination and tips about how to apply for the program is all they need for a successful application.  Don't let your confusion or any misunderstanding of how the program works deter you from applying.  Knowledge is the key, and once you learn more you have a better idea of whether or not this time is right for you.  You really don't need to live with an untenable mortgage arrangement.

The good news for many prior unsuccessful applicants that the program makes allowances for multiple applications.  It's one of those programs that you need to do a bit of research on, and chase after.  It doesn't just come to you.  Even though you may be eligible for the program, you'll not get a dime of assistance, if you don't ask for.  It's run by the federal treasury department, and that clearly set rules for all lenders that everyone who submit an application, must be considered.  And regardless of whether or not they will try before.  It's also good to know, that any foreclosure processes currently in place against your property must you put on hold until the application has reprocessed.  This gives you some breathing time, space and a little stress relief to make sure the application process completely and thoroughly.
